I'll comment on a few things, though, for 'ya xD I'll agree with the sharpness of the sun-rays in the upper left, which leads me to the mermaid (by the way, love the whole mechanical look there xD). It seems to me that, being in the water, she'd most likely have a lot more.... gleam to her body? A few more highlights here and there. Probably maybe even just some subtlety on the hair? Like the tail, I love how you've done that xD
Aside from that, I have to say my favourite thing about this is the amount of detail you seem to put in to everything, especially the rocks xD I love an artist who can use straight black to shade and make it look so... -proper-, it's amazing.
I'd love to see more digitally coloured pictures from you, dude! >D
I agree that I could have used more highlights, but I just wanted to keep it kind of subtle and not too shinny. I think the hair could use more work though, there is just so much of it

Aah yes, I can understand that :3 The hair is wonderful in itself with the line work, so I don't think it needs TOO much done, maybe? The detail in the lining certainly distracts you from any minor mistakes you think you've made, at least xD
